One of our favorite things to do is driving or walking through different subdivisions just to look at houses; to see what, if anything, is for sale and the going prices. Plus, it's a cheap date when there's not much
cash flow for other things. It's kinda funny, really. Now that I'm writing about it... "Hey, we don't have money to do anything so let's go look at houses - the most expensive thing you could possibly buy!" Works for us, I guess. *shrug* But today was one of those days. After church (of course) we drove to a subdivision with nice looking houses, parked the car, pulled out the stroller (for the first time since we've had it) and started walking. It was kind of breezy/ chilly but the sun was shining so we were ok. For now. [Sidebar: My friend, Jamie, came over yesterday and
helped me out by filling the stroller tires with air. I was so excited to finally have "wheels" for walking with Mac - we just had to walk somewhere today!] Well. About half-way through our walk, Mac started getting fussy. Daddy tried carrying him for a while. Still fussy. Then we realized that it'd been a while since he'd last eaten. We fixed a bottle and we were good to go! He even fell asleep after eating so the rest of our walk was nice and leisurely. Until the wind started really picking up. Brrr!! We were almost to the car when I looked down and noticed that we had a flat tire. Bummer! No wonder it was pulling to the left! The bad news: we'll have to either replace that tire since it obviously has a hole somewhere. Or see if Fix-a-Flat will solve the problem. The good news: that was the only tire out of the 4 we filled (the stroller has 6 tires in all) that had a continuous slow leak. One out of six... not bad for a hand-me-down stroller. All in all, the walk was fun!
Loved having the stroller as opposed to a back-breaking Baby Björn. Don't get me wrong, Baby Björns are nice... but not with a sore back and a 15 pound kiddo attached to my front. Once that tire is fixed though, we'll be going on lots more walks now that the weather is getting nicer - for sure! I liked today. It was a good day. Oh yeah, and another small "photo shoot" today 'cause Mac was wearing the cutest denim overalls. Fun! ;D
