Stud Muffin

We were kinda busy with having family here and such, I forgot all about continuing my "New Bib" series. So, today I will go ahead and resume my efforts and leave you with another picture of an astoundingly cute boy with an equally cute bib. :) Enjoy...

And We're Walking...

Went on a walk this evening. Mac had his feet up on the stroller tray the whole time! Nothin' like kickin' it with your home-peeps, right? This is what I saw every time I looked down. Ha! Funny little guy.

Just Another Monday.

Now that G'ma, G'pa and Aunt Shawna have gone, we're back to our regular routine: Hangin' out on the floor, playin' with the plethora of toys down there.

But even that is just not the same without G'ma and G'pa here. Ho hum. :)

Good Day

After church, G'ma and G'pa took us all out to KFC... where I got to stand on the tables! That was fun. When we got home, every-one took naps. I didn't want to at first... but I couldn't help it, my eyes got so heavy. When G'ma and G'pa came back to my house after dinner, we went for a walk! That was fun too! And actually, we went on 2 walks! The first walk was with G'pa and we walked around the new nursing building at NNU. The second walk was past the library (where they're putting in a new sidewalk) and over near some of the dorms (where they're building some sort of courtyard). My mom and dad are having a hard time picturing it but I think it'll be neat. Aunt Shawna got to push me in the stroller most of the way! I think G'ma Nelda pushed a little bit too. But I just love going for walks... no matter who pushes! It sure does help me relax! During our 2nd walk, daddy and Aunt Shawna decided to be a little bit silly and walk past the yellow "Do Not Cross" line. So mommy got a picture of them by the big machine. When we all got home, G'ma and G'pa held me one last time... and they had the most clever idea: To keep me happy (mom says "distracted"), they let me play with one of my musical toys while I was sitting there! It was fabulous. They got to hold me. And I was quiet. :) Everyone was happy.

Another Busy Day

Brent had to work this morning but we got to meet the fam for lunch once he was finished. Betty and Melvin were able to join us as well. It was good to see them again and visit for a while. They're a delightful couple. Melvin thought it would be fun to make paper airplanes out of the oh-so-lovely Denny's "placemats." You know the ones. They double as a fun activity page for the young patrons... and quite often triple as menus for the afore-mentioned crowd. Yep, good times had by all at our table! :)Then this evening, we stopped by Aunt Nadine's "new" house. It's not really new anymore... I think she's lived there for about 3 years now but Brent and I have never been there. So we finally got to see it tonight. Then we all went out to Idaho Pizza Co. for dinner. Yum! :)

The G'folks are Here!

Well, it's the first day the Grandfolks and Aunt Shawna are in town and I'm afraid that Mac has to get used to them all over again. The dedication in April was just too long ago. :) I hope it doesn't take him too long to get accustomed to their faces once more. If he prefers the familiar at this stage in life... does this mean he'll have a hard time with change later on? When do babies start branching out (i.e. not being so afraid of everyone but mom and dad), anyway? Perhaps I should start reading one of the many baby/ child development books that I received when I was preggo with him. ;)

Anyway, here are pictures from today. He seemed to do better when they were walking around outside. He was prob'ly distracted by all the nifty things to look at and didn't remember who was holding him. :)

Tummy Time...

...is actually going much better these days. At least, he's getting used to it. Oh, he still cries occasionally... but it takes longer for him to get frustrated. And even then, sometimes he'll just lie his head down on the blanket or find a different toy to play with. He also likes to maneuver himself around in a complete circle while he's on his belly now. Before, he would just do that on his back. I have a feeling it won't be long before he's crawling around all over the place! Yay for Mac! :)

Mac's 1st Rodeo

He was a little bit nervous from all the noise to begin with but after a while he settled down and chilled out on his dad's lap. Then he realized that it didn't matter if he screamed too! And he seemed to enjoy being able to be as loud as he possibly could with the announcer and the crowd! It was actually a really fun night!

Wiggle Worm

Here's the next bib in the "New Bib" series. This bib actually fits his character a bit more than the last bib. :)
Funny kiddo with his tongue sticking out! Not sure why... he liked whatever it was he was eating. :)

Imagine That - Tough Cookie

What a great eater Mac is! Who'da thunk?! :D 'Cause it's not like his dad or I enjoy eating or anything. ;) Heh heh. We had to get some new bibs, too. I guess I assumed all bibs were a one-size-fits-all kind of deal. Nope. Who knew? Anyway, I figured a package of 8 or 10 bibs for $5 wasn't bad... and they're cute. So, you know. Might as well get 'em. I'll try to post new bib pics as he wears them so everyone can see.

Today, he is a tough cookie! Doesn't he look so tough? :)

Lookin' yummy! And lookin' like a fun time, too!

Hey! Wait a minute!
I think I've seen this look somewhere before!!

OH, right!!...

Here it is!! :D

And one last picture for today:

Mac's got just a smidge more to grow before he's tall like daddy. :)

More Mac Moments

Mac tried some chicken baby food... he didn't like it one bit!

Chillin' out. Suckin' on the burpee.

Trying a teething biscuit. Looks pretty good to me!

Such a big boy, using a sippy cup now!!

"New" Chair

Well, I suppose it's about time for Mac to get used to sitting in the Big Boy Chair to eat. He is 6.5 months old, after all. As much as I'd like for him to stay little, I can't keep him from growing out of the sitting-in-the-lap-to-feed stage. He's doing great with eating more solids now! He likes his cereals: both rice and oatmeal flavors. Although, he seems to prefer oatmeal now. I started him with the rice a few weeks earlier than oatmeal, so maybe he's tired of that by now. Who knows? He also likes his veggies: green beans, squash, peas, sweet potatoes. I fed him carrots once and he happened to have a rough night afterward. We're not sure if his crying was due to teething or if he may have gotten a tummy ache from the carrots but we're kinda nervous to try the carrots again. I had to sit up with him most of that night because he would start crying again when I'd lay him on his back. So he slept on me, on the couch. We can't think of what else it could've been and the only new thing introduced that day was the carrots. Of course, I'm sure we'll have to try them again at some point just to make sure but that night was no fun! And I really don't wanna do that again anytime soon. Anyway, he's just recently started on fruits and, of course, he LOVES those! I mean, who doesn't? :) I did, however, buy a jar of prunes thinking they were plums... Oops!! He only had 1/2 of that tiny jar but I gotta say, he's no longer constipated! Ha! He liked them though. He also enjoys applesauce, pears, and bananas! Yum!

Stuck

Do you ever feel... stuck? That was Mac's day today. I usually set him in his swing with the "gate" open since he's right next to me and he's so good about not movin' around much while he's in there. Well, today he kept reaching over to close the gate himself and he thought that was the greatest thing... until... he got stuck. He decided that he didn't want to let go of his toes when the gate came down. And, voila! MacGregor Scissor-Legs. ;) And actually, in all honesty, he didn't even mind it too much. I think because it was something new. Maybe. Funny kiddo.

At the Park

Mac, dreaming about playing on that huge jungle-gym contraption when he's older. :)

My friend, Stephanie, and I decided to get together for a "play date" of sorts at a park in town. It was nice to get out for a bit and learn about what's new with each other... and I think Brent enjoyed having the house to himself for a while! I've gotta say, I'm pretty sure Mac absolutely loves to people-watch. He was just taking it all in! He must've gotten exhausted from it though since he fell asleep toward the end of our visit and slept the whole way home! Whew, what a day! And then, because we didn't get enough grass-time at the park, Mac and I went out on our front lawn to wiggle our toes in the soft green stuff. Such fun! (Thanks to daddy for the great photo!)
