a) Getting his knees underneath himself and burrowing his head into the floor or bed or wherever he may be. He hasn't quite figured out how to get those arms to work to his advantage yet. All they really do is just help him slide back. Then frustration ensues. He gets really tired of doing sort of this perpetual "face-plant" and sticks one leg out... causing a half-way turn-over. He'll have this look on his face kind of like: How is this going to get me anywhere?? Poor kid. I feel bad for him. He's trying so hard. I know he'll get it one day soon though.
and...
b) Standing. He like just loves to stand... anywhere! On our laps, in his walker... but his newest favorite is standing between us and the ottoman (where we end up changing him most of the time). He looks forward to the end of each changing time, when he can shimmy down the side of the ottoman to an upright position! And he'll just stand there and look all around. Maybe he's just fascinated with how the carpet feels on his feet, I don't know. It's pretty cute though!
