First Real Babysitting Experience!

It's time for a break. Finally. With our anniversary coming up, Stephanie offered to watch Mac for the evening so we could celebrate! And actually, the first time we 'tried' to let Steph watch Mac was on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb 1st). But we got to her place then ended up staying the whole time! It was hard for me to leave him! So we had a make-shift Super Bowl party when Derek got home and had fun anyway. Then the following Sunday, we tried again. We were able to leave him for about an hour, if that, to go have lunch... but we hurried back to get him. I know. We're so silly! I should mention that Steph has 3 kiddos of her own... so she's very capable when it comes to babies! Must just be my 'new mom' paranoia. But tonight, finally, we felt good about going out on a 3+ hour date and had some fun US time! It was soooo nice! And when we got back to Steph's place, Mac was sleeping. She had noticed that my camera was in the diaper bag so she even took a couple photos of him hangin' out there. Fun! Thanks Stephanie! ☺
